Plain-language, because that's how we'd want it explained to us too.

Salty Mare Farm ("we," "us," "our") operates this website. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We built this page to be honest and readable, not a wall of legalese — if anything here is unclear, email us and ask.
Right now, this site collects the following, and only when you choose to give it to us:
We do not currently process payments or collect shipping addresses on this site. If that changes — for example, once ordering goes live — this policy will be updated first, and you'll see what additional information is collected and why before you're asked to provide it.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the list and the site — for example, our email/CRM platform and website hosting provider. These providers only receive what they need to do that job, and they're not permitted to use your information for their own marketing purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Salty Mare Farm, our customers, or others.
This site may use basic cookies or similar technology from standard analytics and hosting tools to understand traffic patterns (for example, how many people visit a page). These are the ordinary kind used by most small business websites, not third-party ad-tracking networks. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, though some conveniences may be lost.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, using reputable third-party platforms for email and hosting rather than storing sensitive data ourselves. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we don't take that responsibility lightly. We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or until you ask us to delete it.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
By using this website, you agree to the following terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Salty Mare Farm raises a limited number of animals at a time, and inventory reflects real, finite supply — not a marketing device. "Nationwide Shipping" refers to product that has been processed at a USDA-inspected facility, which is required for any meat product to legally cross state lines; we stand behind that requirement and don't ship anything that hasn't cleared it. Joining the access list does not guarantee availability of any specific product, quantity, or delivery date — it means you'll hear from us, personally, when the next batch is ready.
This site and its content are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salty Mare Farm is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
We may update this page as the business grows — for example, once online ordering, payment processing, or shipping go live, this policy will be expanded to cover those specifics before they launch. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be reflected here; we encourage checking back periodically.
